Choosing an Emergency Dentist

We are an emergency dentist in Englewood. If you are looking for advice on choosing an emergency dentist, we recommend that you first call us. If you live in the area, then we would be happy to treat you right away and can do so with greater accuracy and ability than the care you would receive from the ER. After all, a traditional MD can treat your physical symptoms, but they do not understand or treat the teeth, something we do on a regular basis. You can schedule an appointment by calling our family dentist office at (201) 244-7658.

Choosing an Emergency Dentist

For anyone with a damaged tooth or anyone who is experiencing incredible pain, they need to find a same day dentistry office that will treat them without delay. At DeSalvo Dental, we can do exactly that. Simply call us at the first sign of an emergency, and we will be happy to help. With longer hours and last-minute appointments, we are an emergency dentist who operates on the patient's schedule. This is important because no one wants to deal with a toothache for longer than necessary.

Signs You Need a Trip to Our Same Day Dentistry Office

There are a few clear indications that you need immediate dental care, including:

  • A loose crown or restoration
  • Chipped or cracked teeth
  • A tooth that is knocked out
  • Bleeding that won’t stop
  • A toothache that will not go away

When any of these take place, call our emergency dentist office so we can schedule an appointment that day. In some cases, we can save a tooth that has been knocked out or restore a chipped or cracked tooth in one visit. We use modern dental tools and technology to give you the most options when it comes to restorations. The key, whether the patient comes in immediately or waits a day, is that we will do our best to complete any restorations in a way that is beautiful and looks entirely natural.

Tips to Try Before Visiting an Emergency Dentist

If you have a toothache, we recommend that you do the following:

#1. - Floss, brush, and rinse your teeth.

There is a possibility that a toothache is being caused by sensitive teeth. If the enamel begins to wear away, simply eating something high in sugar or drinking a soda can give the individual a toothache. To eliminate it, the patient needs to gently brush, floss and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash. If that does not solve the problem, the patient will likely be suffering from tooth decay or an infection. In this case, the patient needs to come to our office.

#2. - Rinse your mouth to stop the bleeding.

If you are bleeding suddenly, you need to rinse your mouth with warm water and spit out the blood. If you also spit out a tooth or part of one, call us right away. Also, if your bleeding does not stop or is accompanied by pain, call us.
